In loving memory of

Patricia A Allman
December 18, 1939 - November 7, 2017

Patricia "Ann" Allman, age 77, died on November 7, 2017 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on December 18, 1939 in Wilson, North Carolina. She lived most of her life in Washington, D.C. where she attended St. Cecelia's Academy. After graduation, Ann toured with several dance groups throughout the U.S. She was a lifelong dancer and teacher of dance and spent time touring as a Rockette.

On August 22, 1964 Ann married Michael Joseph Allman at St. Francis Xavier church in Washington D.C. They were married for 53 years and had four children, Maureen, Theresa, Michael and Patrick. Ann and Mike and their family started in Washington D.C. and also lived in Bowie, MD, Lovettsville, VA and Leesburg, VA where they made lifelong friends. In 1984, they moved cross country to settle in the Seattle, WA area.

In 2000, they retired to La Quinta, CA and spent 10 years enjoying the California desert lifestyle. Ann enjoyed the sunny climate, playing tennis and having friends and family visit often. She continued to teach dance to senior citizens and was an excellent tap dancer. She performed in various dance and follies shows in the Palm Springs area.

In 2010, Ann and Mike returned to the Seattle area to be closer to their children and 7 grandchildren. Ann was the best Grammy to Kelsey, Faith, Matthew, Sydney, Rachel, Lauren and Jack.

Ann had a warm, friendly personality and her family and friends will miss her smile, dancing feet, love of music and generous personality. She was happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Two of her favorite sayings were "Live, Love, Laugh" and "We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once."

She will be missed forever by her friends and extended family from the east coast to the west coast. At her request, a party will be held in her honor with lots of dancing!
