Date of Death:  September 29, 2010
Age 75 of Forest Lake and formerly of Milwaulkee, Wisconsin passed away September 29, 2010.  Emily is survived by her children, Barb (Mel) Mettler,  Michael (Anne) Herbst, Paul Herbst and Jean Falk; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, June (Richard) Abendroth; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Elsie (Jilek Belsky) Slaby.
 Memorial Mass
Emily's family will gather at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM Monday October 4, 2010 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  A time of lunch and fellowship will follow mass at St. Peter Catholic Church. 

Family interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Ashland, Wisconsin. 

Memorials preferred to the local food shelf.

"You will be missed Grandma, more than you can imagine. I love you and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers, I wish I had known about your passing earlier so I could have came and said goodbye to you in person, You were an amazing person and I truly appreciate all you did for me over the years. I will miss the times we spent together, and always remember our trips to MN to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins. Also living with you for those years. Rest in peace, Joey."

"I will not forget Emily or the time I took her to an appointment at the clinic and then grocery shopping. She came to my bridal shower and ive been out with her for ladies night. She was a fun person to be around and I loved visiting with her. She will be missed greatly. Love you always Emily. May you rest in peace, Patty."

"I'll miss you my dear friend,we had allot of laughs.I enjoyed being with you,visiting and reminiseing about old days in Milwaukee.i can't believe we walked the same sidewalks,shopped at the same stores. my dear lady i'll truely miss you. i know deep in my heart you truely believed in the lord, and you are w/ the lord right now.I know how much you loved your family and adored your grandchildren.We shared allot,and I will hold it close to my heart forever.
