In loving memory of

Billy Plyler
October 31, 1951 - November 14, 2017

Billy Plyler of Sarasota, Florida passed away at his home on November 16, 2017 at the age of 66. Born on October 31, 1951 in Sarasota, he graduated from Riverview High School in 1969. He worked at many places in Sarasota including People's Gas Company for more than 25 years, and he retired after 9 years from Mullet's Aluminum Products. Billy was a long-time member of the Sarasota Bass Club.
His friends and family remember him as the man who loved to fish, being outside working in the yard, and helping his family and friends anyway he can. He was famous for yelling, "Shut the door!", "Stop picking my flowers!", and "Get that hair out of your face or we are going to the barber shop!", but always with a smile.
He is survived by his daughter Alicia Plyler and granddaughters Savanna Plyler and Charlett Estep, his sister Kathy Bryant, his brothers Greg Plyler and David Plyler and sister-in-law Melody Plyler, his ex-wife Lucinda Plyler, niece Melissa Plyler and nephews Paul Plyler and Mark Negrin.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life gathering to be held on January 20, 2018 from 2pm - 6pm at the Sarasota Outboard Club, located at 1604 Ken Thompson Parkway in Sarasota for food, refreshments and fellowship.
