A memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 20 at St. Margaret Marys Catholic Church, 2323 Zenith Avenue North, Golden Valley 55422.
Margaret Marie Mantifel was born on February 5, 1924 to William Nye and Inez Elsa Lena Hilmer McCarty in Travers County, Minnesota. In December of 1943, she married Emil Pershing in Minneapolis. Margaret was a stay at home mother who had several foster children in addition to her own. In 1955, she started working at Maeco until retirement in 1971. She loved to roller skate, ballroom dance, and was devoted to country line dancing. Margaret lived at home until peacefully passing away at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale on April 15, 2015 at the age of 91 years, two months, and 10 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Georgianna, Sandra Gary; son, Andrew Lori; grandchildren, Greg, Andrea, Kathryn, Erinn, Ashlee, Chelsea, Maddie, Madeline; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Nicole, Ashley Micheal, Kristi, Isabella, Aedan, Guinevere, Larken; siblings, Helen Raymond, Mildred, Andrew Karen; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Patrick, Martin, Dennis, James, Robert; sisters, Lucille, and Georgianna.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
