Robin Eric Mittenthal
April 20, 1974 - December 3, 2017

Robin's life was full of light, air, and compassion. He loved being of service to others and helping them find answers to their own questions, and guidance towards their own aims. He loved in equal measure being outside: planting and harvesting food, working the earth, observing the natural world. Throughout his life, he sought a balance between these two passions of nurturing others and the earth. To us, his family, he gave everything: unconditional love and devotion, and all his energy. He was the father, husband, and son one could only dream of. He had so many gifts that anything we say about him is only a pale reflection of who he was. We remember him with love and gratitude.

In Robin's honor a GoFundMe page has been set up. All of the proceeds of this campaign will go to savings accounts that Robin established for Costa and Lia. :

"Robin comes from the brilliant Meyer family and he was so able to grow his intelligence and humanity for the betterment of all. His family values and respect for each of us is what makes our short time on earth so very important. Condolences to Dani, Costa and Lia. Sara and Uncle Chuck Meyer"

"We only would meet once a year in May when Robin was doing the Global Certificate hands-on week for his students. Kristi Tennie, Jess Fournier and I would present on Lead and Asbestos to his students, have been doing it for the last six years. We always looked forward to it because Robin was the nicest guy with a keen interest in his students learning from content experts. He always had his own questions to add to the students'. We will miss him very much and each May, think of him. Please accept our deepest sympathies. Robin will be missed."

Lori Devine wrote on Dec 7, 2017:

"Robin was an avid member of UW Rec Sports and attended my fitness classes for many years. I will always remember his awesome juggling skills as he often juggled 5 pound med balls before each fitness class. He would often talk about projects he was involved with on his farm and was a friend to many at Rec Sports. He will be deeply missed. My sincere condolences to his family. "
