Loretta M. Anderson
December 11, 1938 - October 31, 2017

Loretta M. Anderson, daughter of Alva Pearlie and Mary Evelyn (Slavik) Kimmel, was born December 11, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Oakland Manor Nursing Home in Oakland, Iowa at the age of 78.

Loretta worked at Prom Townhome in Omaha, Nebraska in the late 60's; this is also where she met Wayne J. Anderson. They were married on August 7, 1972 in Marysville, Kansas. They then moved to Shenandoah and opened a restaurant called Spot Café. After selling the restaurant she worked at Walmart until retirement.

Loretta enjoyed knitting afghans, jig saw puzzles, golfing with Wayne, collecting Betty Bop, Doughboy and dolphin figurines. She was a member of the Eagles Club and loved volunteering when needed.

She was preceded in death by her son Steve Bloomquist and her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Wayne J. Anderson of Shenandoah, son Bob Bloomquist of Shenandoah, daughter Nina (Bruce) Pierson of Omaha, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters, a brother and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Celebration of life memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
