"My thoughts and prayers are with all of your family during this time. I've been gone from Keokuk for many years but know that Nancy really embodied the Spirit of Keokuk in all her hard work. To Bob and Betsy---I lost contact with you a long time ago but think of you both often. Betsy and I used to have such fun together working at Gallenkamps. Bob and I were always going to have a bicycle race. Take care and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Linda Cloyed Prather "

"My condolences on the death of your loved one. Nancy had a huge heart and loved Keokuk. I became acquainted with Nancy when I was a reporter at the Daily Gate City and helped her publicize the Keokuk Labor Day Parade. "Keokuk loves a parade and that's what we're going to give them," she'd say. After the parade, Nancy always invited me to join the committee members for lunch and the announcement of the winning entries. Nancy also was instrumental in organizing a Veterans Day Walk a few years ago. Nancy was very proud to call Keokuk her home and was devoted to making a difference in the community. She didn't seek admiration for her efforts which is one reason why she was so admired. I am so glad that Nancy and I were friends. Thanks for giving us one heck of a parade for the past 16 years. Ã?â?? Brian Richardson."
