On Friday December 8, 2017, Joseph "Big Joe" Casella passed away at his home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with his family by his side. He was 73.
Joe was the son of the late Vincenzo and Marion Casella, formally of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. For 50 years, he was the beloved husband of Theresa (Delory) Casella and the loving father of Tina Dalton of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Joseph Casella Jr and his wife, Jodi, of St. Augustine, Florida. He was also a loving grandfather to CJ and Mya Dalton and Elsie and Vinnie Casella. "Big Joe" also had several nieces and nephews.
"Big Joe" loved his family more than life itself and enjoyed spending time watching his grandchildren in their various athletic pursuits. Joe was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and lived and raised his family in Raynham, Massachusetts. Joe owned numerous retail liquor businesses for over 45 years and was able to live out his dream of retiring and living on ocean in South Florida with the love of his life, his wife.
There will be a celebration held in honor of Joe on January, 13, 2018 @ 1p.m.-5p.m. at Umberto's of Ft. Lauderdale, 3015 E. Commercial Blvd, Ft. Lauderdale, FL., 33308, (954) 776-0258. Please come and celebrate the way "Big Joe" would want you too!
