Letecia M. Deguzman, 63, of Keokuk died Sunday morning at Keokuk Area Hospital.

Mrs. Deguzman was born March 12, 1943 in Alaminos Pangasinan, Philippians the daughter of Alphonzo and Isobelle Andre Deguzman. She marred Danilo Refuerzo.

She moved to the United States at the age of 18. She has lived in Keokuk for 22 years. She was employed as a production worker with Metzeler for 39 years. She was also an honorary member of United Steel workers union Local 444. She attended the Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Also attended the Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois. She loved to visit the Riverboat, and being with and taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters Carrie Steele and her husband Chris of Keokuk, Iowa; Leslie Walker and her husband Kevin of Kahoka, Missouri; Two sons: Paul McClain and his friend Troy of Pensacola, Florida; Dale Weigand and his fiancé Jackie Wesley of Crestview, Florida; Grandchildren, Tyrel Gipe, Carissa Gipe, Ember McCauley, Alyssa Steele, Chase Steele, Tyler Alexander, Sidney Alexander, plus many grandchildren in the Philippines; 3 brothers: Ildefonso Deguzman of Chicago, Illinois
Royelio Deguzman, Alezandro DeGuzman of the Philippines; One sister: Virginia Botacion of the Philippines; several nieces and nephews including Godiva Rogers, Acer Deguzman of Keokuk, Iowa, Lea Jolley of Chicago, Illinois and Hazel Deguzman of Chicago, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Linda; one brother, Epetenio.

Funeral services were Friday, February 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at DeJong's Funeral Home with Pastor David Barrett officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk, Iowa.
