Valerie J. Thompson
Lewistown-Valerie J. Thompson, 60, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017, at OSF St Francis in Peoria.
She was born on March 22, 1957, in Canton to Robert and Beverly (Widger) Chasteen.
Surviving is her father Robert (Carolyn) Chasteen of Lewistown, one son, Beau (Cappie) Chasteen of Lewistown, four brothers, Robert (Debra) Chasteen of Lewistown, Marty (Paula) Chasteen of Cuba, Clinton (Melissa) Chasteen of Colorado, Chad (Brandy) Chasteen of Lewistown, one sister, Kelly (Blair) Mason of Lewistown, two grandchildren, Dalton Chasteen, Drew Dusenbery and her beloved dog "Lucy".
Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Her mother preceded her in death.
Valerie was a beautician and later worked at White Oaks as a drug and alcohol counselor from where she retired. She loved the outdoors and sitting around the campfire. Most of all she loved her family.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton from 4-7 pm with a funeral service on Wednesday, at 1pm, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Wiley Cemetery.
