KATHRYN WITT REINHARD
March 29, 1966 - February 17, 2008

Kathryn Witt Reinhard, age 41, of Columbia City, IN, died February 17, 2008, following a two-year battle with cancer. She was born March 29, 1966, in Chicago Heights, Illinois and grew up in Lansing, IL, graduating from Thornton Fractional South High School in 1984. She continued her education by receiving a Bachelor of Music from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Music in flute performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Mrs. Reinhard was a professional flutist and taught flute and music lessons. She was a church music director in Hinsdale, Illinois, before moving to Columbia City in 2005. Mrs. Reinhard was a member of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, where she was active in the church and school music programs. She also belonged to Delta Omicron, a music society.

Survivors include her husband David Reinhard, to whom she was married November 30, 1991. They have two daughters, Katelyn and Michaela Reinhard. Also surviving are her parents Gerald and Nina Witt of Lansing, IL; a brother Jeffrey (Lissene) Witt and their children William and Anna, and several dear aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Elsie Witt and Victor and Leona Nagel.

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm on Friday, February 22, 2008 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11 am at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6318 W. California Rd., Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Greg Koltz will officiate with the burial to follow at the church cemetery.

Memorials may be given in honor of Mrs. Reinhard to Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School band and string scholarship fund, to the church music fund, to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, or to Parkview Whitley Home Health and Hospice.
