SHARON K. KIENZLER
August 15, 1940 - December 15, 2008

Sharon K. Kienzler, age 68, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2008 at her home. Born on August 15, 1940 in Orland, IN she was the daughter of Elisha O. and Gertrude B. (Womack) Gause.She attended Northside High School, Fort Wayne, IN. On March 1, 1991, she was united in marriage to David L. Kienzler in Fort Wayne, IN. In 1973, she moved from Allen County to Whitley County and she has resided in Columbia City since 1988. For 25 years, she was employed by Dana Corporation, Columbia City retiring in 2003. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Coesse. Survivors include her husband, David L. Kienzler of Columbia City; children, Twila (Mikel) Barnes of Fort Wayne, Penny (Jason) Woebbeking and Lisa Languell both of St. Joe, Mark (Mickey) Kienzler of Maryland and Linda (Jeremy) McCoy of Churubusco; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (June) Gause of Lynchburg, TN, Homer (Lois) Gause of Fort Wayne and Jimmie (Dotie) Gause of Columbia City; sister, Beverly Ahlersmeyer of Huntertown; step-sister, Gretchen (Jim) South of Defiance, OH; son-in-law, Dan Gray of South Whitley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Gray and granddaughter, Jenny Brumbaugh.Visitation is Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service is Friday, December 19, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Judy Follis of Hope Lutheran Church officiating. Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Kienzler to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
