"My first memory of Teddy is of him at the ball field. I was probably 5 and had all sorts of questions about him because he was an adult, but so close to my size. Growing up, I spent hours going through my parents' yearbooks. Recently (within the past month), I was at work and we were talking about pictures that stick out in our mind. The picture I talked about is of someone holding Teddy up at a locker. It may have been Kit Redman. It's been nearly 20 years since I looked at that particular yearbook, but I'll never forget that image. The first time I saw it I got a kick out of it. I remember being drawn to him as a little kid, so it wasn't surprising to me to see so many pictures of him with kids. Carmen Mann-Lynch(Daughter of Glenn Mann, Class of 1967)"

"Teddy was my best friend thru grade & high school, we got in all kinds of trouble together. One of my favorite childhood memories was when he & I threw his mother's best pots & pans down the stairs one New Year's Eve at the stroke of midnite. He was one of God's special gifts & always had a kind word & a smile for all he met. He will be missed by all."

"As an original member of the FWRFC I spent my good times with Teddy at games and parties. He was a little man with a big heart and an asset to the team. I'll always remember some of is "one and only" antics while he was helping us win the party. He will be missed by the "old boys" at the 40th reunion in July."

"To the Hawk family & friends, We had not seen much of Teddy since his days in the early 1970s as a member of the Fort Wayne Rugby Club, but we never forgot his ready smile and laughter and the fun he always seemed to have. Your heartwarming photo tribute brings that all back, and if the essence of one man's soul could be captured in pictures on a screen.....it was evident in those. Life's light grows dimmer with his passing. May your memories sustain you always. I am assembling a 40-year Anniversary Program of the rugby club and would like to include one of your photos on our memorial page. My email is td44aw@yahoo.com. Sincerely, Todd Davis"

"Dear Mrs. Hawk and Family,I've known Ted for more years than I can remember. But I do remember a lot of great times with him. At one time we bowled together on a team at Cook Lanes. Most of those nights are a little fuzzy, but it was the 70's you know. Ted tried to live his life to the fullest. It wasn't always easy, but he seemed to make the most of it. A few years ago Ted asked if someone from the Elks could take him to a memorial service for one of our brother Elks. I had that honor and I'm glad the Elks Lodge has a part in remembering Ted this week. Chris and I are going away for a long weekend trip and won't be able to attend the services. Please know that our thoughts are with all of you.Mike & Chris Redman"
