Jack Lee Morgan, age 58, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, IN. Born on September 17, 1950 in Jackson, OH he was the son of John Edward and Ida Fern (Brunton) Morgan.On April 7, 1990 he married Sherry Renee Jones in Greencastle, IN. A former resident of Jackson, OH, Ossian and Greencastle, IN, he resided in Columbia City since 1992. He was a former employee of Jackson Corporation, Jackson, OH, Johnson Controls, Fort Wayne, Lear, Greencastle, United Tech which later became Lear, Bourbon. He is currently employed in engineering management for Plastech now Johnson Controls Inc., Bryan, OH.In Jackson, OH he was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police and an Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff, in Coalton, OH a former volunteer for the fire department, in Ossian, IN a former auxiliary city police officer and EMS volunteer. He was a member of Zion Methodist Church, Huntington County, IN. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Morgan of Columbia City, IN; son, Shannon L. (Dawn) Morgan of Markle; daughters, Jennifer D. Hobrock and Erin M. Morgan both of Columbia City; 2 granddaughters, Jessica D. Morgan and Lylla J.R. Lackey; brother, Bill (Tiny) Morgan of Wellston, OH; sister, Peggy Morgan of Wellston, OH; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Visitation is Friday, May 29, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service is Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Rapp officiating. Burial will follow at South Park (Annex) Cemetery, Columbia City, IN. Memorial gifts may be given in Mr. Morgan's memory to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
