"What a beautiful service today. I think that it is just what Becca would have wanted. A celebration of a life that was lived for her Lord here on earth and, now, she is actually with the One whom she served, running on those streets of gold. I pray that everyone who was there today will understand the challenge that was presented, in accepting and serving the Lord. I am sure that God is so pleased with the type of service that Becca chose. I will continue to pray for all of you who were close to Becca, that God would comfort and give you His imaginable grace as you adjust to a life without Becca. Be assured that she is in a far better place and that she is finally pain free. We, who believe, will see her again someday. Thank you for the wonderful video, too. Hugs, Karen"

"I RUN BECAUSE SHE RANInspired by her battle, of which I heard about through a friend of Rebecca,I began to ran. On the days when I heard she was too sick to leave the bed, I ran harder. I felt so helpless at the time, so I did what I knew she would want to do the most. I ran. I didn't know Rebecca, until about a year ago, but I knew of her and her courageous spirit. I had had her on my prayer requestfor most of the 3 year battle, and last summer I had the pleasure of meeting her. An inspiration to all! As I continue to run, I will be reminded of the battle she fought. May God guide and protect you allduring this time of adjustment. In God's care, tracy"

"Jade, Laura, Jackson, Steve, Vicky, Rachel & Kyle:My hearts just go out to you all.Words cannot even describe the determination I saw in Becca's eyes one morning as I walked, and as sick as she was, run past me with a quiet hello. Then on her way back she asked if she could walk with me. I was honored to have her ask me and to have that little visit/walk with her. She was running for her life - yet she walked with me that day and gave me such encouragement that I will never ever forget it. I'll carry this with me in my heart for ever. She was such a beautiful person on this earth and I know in my heart that she is one of God's most valuable Angels in Heaven. He just picked another in selecting her! God's love to you all! "

Meg Pahmier wrote on Aug 18, 2009:

"I had the privelege of being one of Becca's instructors at the University of Saint Francis. She took my pediatric class and also spent the semester with me in my office in Bluffton. She was such a special woman and we had such a great semester together. One day I work, I became nauseated and faint during the day and then right as Becca was ready to leave. I told her to go home to see her family, but she refused and stayed by my side. I actually had to go to our ER and Becca called my husband and stayed with me until he came. I have always considered her my 'angel'. She so loved her children and I know they brought her much joy. My deepest sympathy to Jade and the children."

"Steve, Vicki, Kyle, Rachel, Jade, Lauren and JacksonThis is one of the hardest condolences I have ever written. Firstly it has been an honor to be a relative of Rebecca's, to encourage myself and so many others through her quiet strength, perserverance and positive attitude. Second, Rebecca chose a career of service to her fellow man and doing so touched many lives in the process. To try and be strong for Jade and the kids would pale in comparison to what Becca always shared with others. I don't think she realized how much of a hero she was to all the people who were blessed to have known her. What an honor for us the living to have known Becca! We must continue her legacy while we walk this earth until The Shepherd calls each of us home. What a great day that will be to see Becca and those who left before us. "The "living" Becca may be gone, but her spirit will always be with us. She is here encouraging us to remain strong, to never give up our Faith, love unconditionally and never stop 'running'! The cancer didn't make her that way, a role model for others, it just helped her to touch and influence more of us. She will always be missed, never forgotten. Our prayers and love are with you all.Nancy Fenker and Family"

"Just imagining you in the presence of the Lord... whole again. Free from nausea, free from pain, free from hopelessness. All the lives you have touched in your courageous battle these last 3 years. What a tremendous example you have been to me; to be thankful in all things, big and little. To not take anything or any moment for granted. I look at life differently because of your fight. Thank you Becca for making me a better person. A more compassionate nurse. A mom who tries not to waste a moment with her kids. A more loving and thankful wife. You have truly changed my life. You are loved and dearly missed.Meghan Boggs Hoffman "

During her illness she blazed trails that will benefit those who battle the same disease. She didn't take NO for an answer and pushed the Drs to treatments our of thier comfort zone - now they will do them on others. You, Lauren, Jackson and the rest of your family continue to be in our prayers. With much love,Ron & Julia"
