Mary D. Gephart, age 86, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 3:13 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at The Oaks, Columbia City, IN born on May 7, 1924 in Noble County, IN, she was the daughter of Charles and Tessie (Pressler) Rex.
Raised in Noble County, she attended Wolf Lake High School, Wolf Lake, for 3 years. She was first married to William R. Hull, August 13, 1942, her second marriage was to Albert N. Beacher on Spetember 3, 1966 and he passed away suddenly on September 14, 1966 and her 3rd marraige was to Ivan Gephart on December 20, 1974 and then he passed away on October 21, 2003. She moved to Whitley County in 1942.She worked at Farmer's Loan and Trust Bank, Columbia City, for 12 1/2 years from 1972-1984. She was a member of various Columbia City area bowling leagues.
Survivors include her son, Billy L. Hull of South Whitley; daughter, Judy K. Will of Columbia City; 3 step-daughters, Virginia Cunningham of Orange, TX; Dorothy Gephart of Fort Wayne; Anna Hines of Fort Myers, FL; 1 step-son, Ivan Gephart II of Olympia: 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren;11 step grandchildren; 10 great step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Howard, Luther, James and Fred Rex, sisters, Daisy Carmin and Marie Harrison.
Visitation is Monday, June 14, 2010 from 2-4 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the funeral home with Reverend Curtiss Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Thorn Cemetery, Ormas, IN. Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Gephart's memory to donor's choice of charity. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
