E. Ilene Richardson, age 84, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 2:40 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 at Covington Meadows, Fort Wayne. Born on November 15, 1927 in Fort Wayne the daughter of Paul H. and Irene (Ferrell) Shroyer.
In 1937 she moved from Allen County to her present home in Whitley County. She attended Jefferson Township Elementary School and graduated with the Class of 1945 from Jefferson Township High School.On November 10, 1951 she married William D. Richardson in Columbia City.She was employed in the office of General Electric Company in Fort Wayne for nine years and also worked as a custodian for the Jefferson Township School for 11 years.She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Coesse and the Jefferson Homemaker's Extension Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy L. Richardson of Columbia City; son, Bill D. (Star) Richardson of Greenfield; brother, Norman (Shirley) Shroyer of Phoenix, AZ and 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William D.(Bill) Richardson, infant brother, Donald Shroyer and sister, Helen Clark.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastors Judy Follis and Howard Marken officiating.
