January 26, 1989 - November 6, 2012

Shanna Lorraine Ballard, age 23 and her unborn daughter, Paisley Rebbecca Jo Ballard of Albion, IN, both passed away at 12:12 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN.Shanna was born January 26, 1989 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Donald Millard and Rebbecca L. (Carpenter) Hodgkins.

She graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 2007. She received her Medical Assistant degree from Ross Medical College, Fort Wayne. She was also employed at Bones Theater, Columbia City. She was married to Jeremiah Eugene Ballard on April 4, 2010 in Noble County.

She is survived by her husband, Jeremiah Eugene Ballard, Albion; 2 children, Scout Eugene, age 4 and Olivia Grace Ballard age 3; her beloved Pit Bull dog, Girlfriend Ballard; mother, Rebbecca (Kim) Cramer, Paris, TN; father, Donald Millard (Melody) Hodgkins, Columbia City; in-laws, Mart (Sally) Ballard, Columbia City; sisters and brothers, Misti Green, Plainwell, MI; Myranda Green, Sturgis, MI; Zach Ballard, Columbia City; Zeb (Stephanie) Ballard, Columbia City; Donald Hodgkins, Elyria, OH; Zorrina (Tom) Bilbo, Kiln, MS; Bobbie Corey, Plymouth; Byron (Jackie) Prough, Shipshewana and Bob (Ruby) Ballard, Dunlap. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Eddie and Patricia Ruffingand Donald M. and Lorraine Hodgkins.

Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2012 from 3-7:00 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with funeral service immediately following at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor "Uncle Todd" Prough of the Spirit of Faith Fellowship, Goshen will be officiating. Memorial bequest may be given in Shanna and Paisley Ballard's memory to their final expense account in care of DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
