She attended church with her family at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw. Sophia went to preschool at Pierceton Good Beginnings and Sacred Heart. Most recently she attended Lighthouse Autism Center where she loved all her therapists. She enjoyed weekly therapy at Joes Kids in Warsaw and riding her favorite horse, Peanut, at Magical Meadows.

She leaves behind a loving and caring family, including her parents, Chris and Molly Long; brother, Isaac Long; maternal grandparents, Larry and Linda Long, of South Whitley; aunts, Kathy (Layne) Evans and Julie (Dana) Hewitt, both of Pierceton; uncle, Matt (Jessica) Long, of South Whitley; and seven cousins. She was preceded in death by her older brother, Samuel Long on June 25, 2007; and paternal grandparents, Leon and Sally Long.
