In loving memory of

Master Sergeant Ronald Dasher
May 6, 1956 - December 24, 2017

Ronald Eugene Dasher adoringly known as "Dasher, Ronnie, Ron" was the eldest child of Clarence W. Dasher and Delores Sampson Dasher (deceased). He was born on May 6, 1956, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Ronald began his early education in the public school system in Valdosta, Georgia, at South Street Elementary. His family later moved to Miami, Florida, where he attended Orchard Villa Elementary, Van E. Blanton Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High, and graduated from Miami Central High School in 1974. Ronald's passion was football. He excelled on the Miami Central Rockets' football team as a defensive back. "Dasher" loved the rockets of Miami Central High School and was popular among his peers. For Senior Superlatives, Class of 1974, Ronald was voted and recognized as "Most Attractive Male".

Ronald received a scholarship offer to play football as a Bethune-Cookman College Wildcat. He later attended Valdosta State College. In 1979, Ronald enlisted in the United States Air Force under the delayed enlistment program.

On March 19, 1980, he began his active duty military career. He traveled throughout the United States and had tours of duty overseas in Japan, Korea, The Philippines, Thailand, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and other parts of the world. On November 16, 1983, Ronald married Valerie Bryant. From that union, Ronald's only child, Michelle Nicole Dasher, was born. In 1994, Ronald was assigned to the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and moved to Fort Washington, Maryland.

While serving in the military, Ronald's mother, Delores Sampson Dasher, continuously encouraged him to return to college. He was inspired by her determination to receive her college degree in her later life as she raised him and his two siblings. With that in mind, Ronald re-enrolled in college.

In 1993, Ronald received an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. In 2002, he received two Associate Degrees; Business Administration, from Strayer University and Financial Management, from the Community College of the Air Force. In 2003, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, from Strayer University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. In 2010, he again graduated Magna Cum Laude and received a Master Degree in Business Administration, from Strayer University.

Ronald retired from the United States Air Force in April 2003 at the grade of Master Sergeant. His career was filled with numerous meritorious achievement awards and accomplishments. He continued his service with the United States Air Force as a federal government employee. He served as a Senior Budget Analyst for the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) until he entered the arms of Jesus.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Landover, Maryland where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in 2013.

After courageously battling cancer, God called Ronald home to eternal life in the early morning on December 24, 2017. Left to cherish his memory: his daughter: Michelle Nicole Dasher Farley (Jonathan); grandson: Josiah Farley, all of Atlanta, Georgia; father: Clarence W. Dasher, of Miami, Florida; brother: Clarence W. Dasher III (Eslanda), of Fort Washington, Maryland; sister: LaQuita "Neicy" Dasher Lee (Kelvin) of Miramar, Florida; nephews: Larry J. Bursey II (Jessica) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Clarence Dasher IV and Kegan Dasher, both of Fort Washington, Maryland; niece: Alexis Lee, of Miramar, Florida; and a host of loving relatives and devoted friends.

He ate the famous Gates Bar-B-Que and visited with my family. May you find comfort in your memories of him. He was a Godly man. Mrs. Jackie Taylor "
