Waunakee - William A. 'Bill" Kinney, age 74, found his everlasting peace and rest on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Our dad is now reunited with our beloved mom in heaven along with all other family and friends who passed before him. He was born in Cambria, Wisconsin on December 13, 1943, the son of Everette and Margaret (Sosinski) Kinney. Bill was united in marriage to Marian Goetz on November 11, 1967, in Portage, Wisconsin. He entered the military on November 2, 1962, and retired in 1999 with the rank of Senior Master Sargent. Bill truly enjoyed his career and those he worked with. His love of airplanes was lifelong.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Chris) Kinney-Hazard and Rochelle (Glenn) Zwieg; his grandchildren, Riley and Sydney Hazard and Gretchen and Emma Zwieg; a sister-in-law, Kathy Kinney; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marian; and brothers, Michael and Steve Kinney.

"I will never forget the passionate euchre games we played in Biloxi during the last 10 or so years; the many new vehicles, lawn mowers and airplanes you purchased and showed us every spring in Waunakee; and the way you always chanted my son, Ben's, name and ate ice cream with him every night. You were a great grandpa to him, Bill. The Genoa contingency will miss you -- and Pete will never forget that stupid broccoli joke."

"I will remember the trips for hot fudge sundaes and seeing the Superman movies at the theater. I thank you for showing me the gift of a strong work ethic but always remember to laugh. I miss the way you said, " hi ya Roe " when I called. I'll love and miss you for the rest of my life. Love, Rochelle "

"I will never forget you singing White Christmas to me, the way you answered the phone when I would call, all the jokes, and most of all the words of wisdom passed on from a Father to a Daughter. Life will not be the same without you in it. I love you so much. Michelle Kinney-Hazard "

"I served for 6 years with Bill in the WIANG. He was always a really nice guy. And always had a joke! I worked with him during the time his wife was sick and passed away, and saw first-hand his love for her and devotion to her. When I saw his name in the paper, my first though was of joy that he was now reunited with her. May he rest in peace. Tacia Hill "
