It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say "goodbye for now" to our beloved Jeri Lou Samms.
December 31, 1949 - January 2, 2018
Over the last year and a half, Jeri fought an incredibly tough battle with cancer. She showed amazing strength and bravery until the very end. She was surrounded by her family in her last days, just the way she wanted it.
Jeri was born to Robert R. and Muriel Johnson and was raised in the Tacoma area. She grew up riding horses and boating in the Sound with her family and friends. Jeri had a love for anything outdoors and especially loved being at the ocean in Tokeland. Raising her 3 kids in Kent with her husband Glenn, she spent a great deal of her time at either the baseball or the football field cheering on her kids. She held many different positions professionally and was always well liked by her coworkers. Jeri was very social and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, and make a new friend. She had a passion for family history and antiques and cherished her travels to England to see her daughter Kelly and family. What meant the most to Jeri was being with her family. No matter the place nor the occasion she wanted to be surrounded by family, especially her grandkids which meant the world to her.
Jeri is preceded in death by her mother (Muriel), father (Robert R.), and brother (Ricky). She is survived in life by her husband Glenn Samms, sister Sue Bergh (Roger), son Michael Samms, daughter Kelly Woan (Ian), daughter Jaimie Faccone (Paul), son Chris Samms (Jenni), grandchildren McKenzie, Maddie, Millie, Hadley, Nathan, Katie and many more adoring extended family.
Please join us to celebrate Jeri and share memories of her life.

"I think of Jeri so often. She and Glenn were so welcoming of my husband Rick and me to her home at Christmas. She was so brave during her illness and pushed herself to get to spend time with Chris, Jenni, Hadley, and the rest of her family. Our most sincere sympathy to Glenn and your family. Jeri is missed. "
"My beautiful sister who fought harder than I could ever do for her family. She had the will to live for her family and went through a lot (hell). I have so much respect for her, she was so strong. She fought a battle that I never thought she could do. I am so proud of her. Love you and your family and you all have been through. Glenn you are the best husband and I am so greatful that you were there for her 100 percent and loved her 100%"
