"My condolence to Pat Hogan's family. I've known Pat for many years and he will be missed and remembered for many years to come. After my husband Jeff and I had our daughter Audrey, we would take her to the American Legion with us. Pat was almost like an "Uncle Pat" to Audrey, giving her a dollar every time she would loose a tooth and as she grew older, giving her valuable advise for college plans. Thank you. God Bless and Rest In Peace. "

"Our deepest sympathies to Coach Hogan's family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Coach Hogan was an amazing man that showed great passion and enthusiasm for Keokuk Basketball. I learned many life lessons from Coach Hogan that I have applied both on and off the court. His excitement and work ethic were contagious. I have have so many fond memories of him and would not be who I am today without his support when I was younger. I very much appreciated the time and commitment that he shared with me as a player and us as a team."

Gary Collins wrote on Jan 11, 2018:

"The Hogan family and my family lived on the same block on High Street. Pat and I we're very good friends from those early days through high school . We did everything together from things such as snow sledding to playing catch in the alley, doing a Daily Gate City paper route together to playing in a band, all of which were fond memories I will always treasure. Although our lives took us different paths after high school and with us being in KC for the past 24 years, we were not able to get together to renew the friendship. I've always considered Pat a very good person and my life was blessed by knowing him and from having such a great friend. Gary Collins"

"Pat was my husband's best friend. They coached basketball together and went to the state tournament twice. You could tell Pat was so passionate about basketball and more importantly the youth in our community. He cared for his players and pushed them to be all they could be. Those kids respected the game and played hard for him. He was so proud to be a part of that program. He would call Dave and ask him what he was wearing to the game and I just got the biggest kick out of listening to their conversations. What Dave doesn't know is that when he wasn't home, Pat would call and we also had the best conversations, mostly about Dave. LOL. I will so miss this guy and what he and Roz meant to our family. Pat was selected to be the Grand Marshal for KHS homecoming...how fitting...so glad he was recognized for his dedication to the school. "

Many fond memories of times spent around Patty and Howard's kitchen table listening to Pat solve the world's problems. Will miss him greatly, and so sad that we are unable to attend his funeral. Ros, Erin, Phillip - you are in our prayers."

"I was blessed to have known Pat through the many years we worked together at Keokuk Steel Castings. Also got to spend a lot of time with him on the golf course, and brings to mind one thing I've remembered about Pat. He never got "cheated" on a drive - nobody swung harder at a golf ball than he did! He was a good man and will be missed by many I'm sure. To Roz and the rest of Pat's family - peace and love from Nauvoo! Mark Anderson"
