William Gunderson
May 10, 1916 - January 4, 2007


William Eggen ( "Wink") Gunderson age 90 of Antigo, WI died at his son's home in Antigo on January 4, 2006 in the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was born May 10, 1916 in Ironwood, Ml to the late George & Clara (Eggen) Gunderson and moved to Antigo with his family in 1918..
A Class of 1935 graduate of Antigo Senior High School, lie attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI Durring WWIT lie was employed by Lockheed Aircraft, and worked on F.80 jets and on the first Connstellation. On August 2, 1941 he and the former Helen Starszak were married in Los Angeles at the First Lutheran Church..
After the war, he and his family lived in Milwaukee for several years and then moved back to Antigo in 1949, where he was employed by Jewel Tea Company and Wilke Windows. In 1958, he moved his family to the Kalamazoo, Michigan area, where he worked as an estimator for Valley Metal Products and later, in the same capacity, for Brunswick school equipment division/Interkal, from which he retired in 1981
His first wife Helen died on June 7, 1969. On April 14, 1972 he married Irene Starr in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He and Irene, moved to Pelican Lake right after retirement in 1981. From 1994-99, the couple lived in Coldwater, Michigan, and then he returned to Antigo where lie made his home with his son, Paul. Irene passed away on January 5, 2004.
He was an avid bowler, enjoyed golf and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, a brother, Kermit
Gunderson, and a sister, Joyce Reznichek
Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 1:30 PM at the
Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45, Antigo, WI. Rev. Jack LaMar will officiate.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 12:30 PM to the time of the service at the
funeral home.
