Betty Stegelski
July 17, 1929 - January 11, 2007

Betty Stegelski longtime Antigo resident died Thursday January 11, 2007 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, she was 77years old. Born on July 17, 1929 in Bryant to Albert and Ann (Mucha) Hafner, she married Aloysius Stegelski on June 18, 1949 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Antigo. Her husband preceded her in death on January 21, 2002. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1947 and was a longtime member of St. John Catholic Church, its Christian Mothers and Altar Societies, and sang in the adult choir. Mrs. Stegelski was a member of the Antigo Garden Club, Out and In Homemakers Club, Christian Women's Club, Langlade Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center and AVAIL. In her later years she was an avid reader of mystery novels and enjoyed solving word puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter Barb Stegelski of Antigo,
One sister Margaret Knapkavage of Antigo.
One brother John (Lee) Hafner of Bryant.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo, Rev. Charles Hoffmann will officiate. Entombment will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation including a 4:00 wake service will be held on Friday from 3:30 - 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
