Eugene Kubie Kubiaczyk
January 23, 1928 - January 13, 2007

Eugene " Kubie" Kubiaczyk age 78 of Antigo died January 13, 2007 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay with his family at his side. He was born January 23, 1928 in Antigo to the late Frank and Laura (Packard) Kubiaczyk. On October 4, 1952 he and the former Evelyn Schlundt were married in Fort Smith, Ark. She preceded him in death on July 15, 1999.
Gene was a member of SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo. He attended the Fourth Ward Grade School and graduated from Antigo Senior High School in 1946.
He served in the United States Army in Korea.
He was employed for 45 years by Grantman Beverage and Pepsi Cola Bottling Companies in both Antigo and Wausau. He also was the custodian at St. Mary Catholic Church and School for nine years.
He was a member of Sparks-Doernenberger American Legion Post # 3 and Langlade County Voiture 1204, 40 et 8. He was the Finance Officer for Post #3 for many years.
He enjoyed woodworking and crafts, hunting and fishing, and the casino.
Survivors are a daughter Barbara( Tom) Demerath of Green Bay, two granddaughters Heidi (Cory) DeJardin of Green Bay, and Aimee ( Friend Jake Stevens) Demerath of Green Bay.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a infant daughter Mary, two step sisters Hazel Curran and Helen

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday January 18, 2007 at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo. A visitation will be held from 3:30-to 8PM Wednesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Thursday the Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45, Antigo. A parish wake service will be held at 4 PM and a military honor guard will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 PM Wednesday. Entombment will be held at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Antigo with Antigo Veterans conducting military honors.
