Edwin Prasalowicz
October 14, 1924 - January 27, 2007

Edwin Prasalowicz town of Ackley resident died Saturday January 27, 2007 at Wausau Aspirus Hospital in the Palliative Care Unit, he was 82 years old. Born to Walter and Victoria (Kedziora) Prasalowicz on October 14, 1924 on the home farm in the Town of Ackley. He served in the U.S. Navy from November 29, 1944 to June 19, 1946. Following service he lived in Milwaukee and was employed by Allis Chalmers until returning to the family farm. He married Donna Stuiber on April 16, 1966 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. He operated a potato and dairy farm until 1968 then turned his attention to strictly dairy farming until 1986. Mr. Prasalowicz continued farming for a number of years by growing vegetables and grains.

He was a member of the Langlade County Farm Bureau, St. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church.

He enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, trips to the casino, a drive through the country, driving tractor, and watching late night television.

Survivors include his wife Donna, and his three children Patrick of Antigo and his friend Lisa, Lynn (Benjamin) Haseleu of New Richmond, Thomas (Lynnette) of Amherst Junction. Five grandchildren Austin, Sydney, Mikaela, Jonathan, Jayme.

Three sisters Florence (Edward) Koszarek and Evelyn (Ted) Reif all of Antigo, and Alice Cheslak of Florida.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters Helen Fronek, Anna Prasalowicz, Irene Wojcik, and Lillian Ball, six brothers Martin, Bernard, Walter, John, Emil, and Marcellus Prasalowicz.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 31, 2007 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will be held in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:30 - 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. all at the Bradley Funeral Home. Parish wake service will be held on Tuesday at 4:00 P.M.

Edwin was a great husband, dad and grandpa. We will all miss him.
