Raymond Terry Heckert
August 19, 1946 - March 6, 2007

Raymond Terry Heckert longtime town of Ackley resident died Tuesday March 6, 2007 at home under the care of his wife and LeRoyer Hospice at the age of 60. Born on August 19, 1946 in the town of Rolling to Haelett and Mable (Theilman) Heckert he married Janet Prasalowicz on August 24, 1968 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, she survives. In 1964 he graduated from Antigo High School and attended Milwaukee Area Technical College for two years.

Mr. Heckert worked at Bell Laboratories in Naperville, Illinois and Marathon Electric in Wausau. He earned an associates degree in Mechanical Design from North Central Technical College and used his trade at several manufacturing companies including Amron, Johnson Electric Coil, Gallenberg Equipment, Clover Hydraulics and ProWeld. With his wife he also owned and operated J & R Enterprises, a metal manufacturing company.

He served on the Langlade County Board of Supervisors and was a member of St. Mary Hyacinth Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Janet, two sisters Elizabeth (Kenneth) Schwartz of New Holstein, Pauline (John) Lahr of Wausau. Five brothers Patrick of Merrill, Warren (Virginia) of Hatley, Benjamin (Shirley) of Milwaukee, Keith (Susan) of Wausau, Timothy of Merrill, many nieces and nephews and his two puppy dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Karl and Peter.

Memorial services will be held on Friday March 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Spring. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
