Clinton J. Heinzen
September 24, 1923 - March 12, 2007

Clinton J. Heinzen died Monday March 12, 2007 at home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice, at the age of 83. Born in the Town of Norwood on September 24, 1923 to Joseph and Colletta (Menting) Heinzen he married Audrey Mae Kakes on May 7, 1949 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo. He attended St. Joseph Parochial School in Phlox and graduated from Mattoon High School then served in the United States Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II.

Mr. Heinzen worked as an electrician with his brother Gerald in Woodruff for several years then along with his wife owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Neva from 1952 - 1979. He served on the board of directors for the Antigo Co-op Oil Association.

As a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva he served on the Parish Council for many years, served as a communion distributor and was a member of the Msgr. Conrad Sailie Knights of Columbus Council 1002 - Antigo, Sparks-Doernenburg American Legion Post #3 of Antigo. His favorite pastime was playing cards with family and friends; he also enjoyed square dancing, spending time with his grandchildren, cutting fire wood, and gardening.


Survivors include his wife Audrey, one daughter Gail (Mike) Matyas of Reno, Nevada. Two sons Keith (Rosemary) Bryant, Mark (Linn) of Green Bay.

Four sisters Dolores (George) Krall of Wausau, Jeanette (Ed) Sippl of Aniwa, Helen Kuhr of Phlox, and Marie (Larry) Mendl of East Peoria, Il. Four brothers Gerald of Florida, Donald (Audrey) of Phlox, Benedict (Ellen) of Phoenix, AZ.

Seven grandchildren Jennifer, Amy, Leah, Paul, Logan, Jacob, and Kyle.
One great grandchild Peyton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joyce Gauthier, one brother Richard.



Funeral services will be held on Friday 10:30 a.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery where the Antigo Veterans will conduct military rites. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and on Friday from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Parish wake service will be held on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. with the Knights of Columbus members reciting the rosary at 6:30 p.m. and Antigo Veterans standing honor guard from7:00 - 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund is being established.
