Albert Howard

Albert Thomas Howard of Antigo died Thursday March 22, 2007 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 90. Born on August 16, 1916 in Marquette County, Michigan to Edward and Ida (Gentz) Howard he married Irene Peterson in Marquette on October 18, 1947, she survives. He graduated from Graveret High School in Marquette, Michigan with the class of 1936 and went on to serve in the United States Army.
Mr. Howard worked as a mechanical draftsman for several northern Michigan companies including Lakeshore Engineering from 1936 to 1946, and again from 1969 to 1982, Munising Wood Products, Cleveland Cliff and Cliff Dow Chemical Company. He also worked as a car salesman for Specker Motors in Marquette. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. In 2000 he and his wife moved to Antigo to be near their daughter and are members of Antigo United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Irene, and daughter Barbara Arnold both of
Antigo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son in law Joseph Arnold, one brother William, one sister Elaine Weitzel.
Services will be held on Sunday March 25, 2007 2:30 p.m. at Antigo United Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
