Herbert Quirk
March 11, 1914 - April 8, 2007

Herbert J. Quirk age 93 of Antigo died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at Golden Living-Golden Age Home in Tomahawk, WI. He was born March 11, 1914 in the Town of Norwood, Langlade County to the late John H. and Margaret (Schroeder) Quirk. On July 8, 1939 he and the former D. Winifred (Wynne) Bullington were married in Antigo. She preceded him in death on August 10, 2006.
Mr. Quirk was a member of St. John Catholic Church where he ushered and volunteered for many years; and was a member of the Msgr Conrad Saile Council 1002, Knights of Columbus. He graduated from Sugar Bush grade school, Antigo High School and the farm short course at UW Madison.
For 32 years he was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and for nine years at the Langlade County Safety Building as the maintenance expert. He retired in 1979.
He enjoyed shooting pool, playing horseshoes, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister Aurella Brandt and six brothers Earl, Orville, Harold, William, Thomas, and Clifford Quirk.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 10:00am at St. John Catholic Church. Rev. Charles Hoffmann will officiate. Entombment will be held at Queen of Peace Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at Bradley Funeral Home on Friday from 3:30pm to 7:00 pm with a parish wake service at 4:00 pm, a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 6:30 pm and on Saturday from 8:30 am to 9:30am at Bradley Funeral Home
