Bernice Zarda
May 5, 1926 - April 30, 2007

Bernice Margaret Zarda life long Antigo resident died Monday April 30, 2007 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 80 years old. Born on May 5, 1926 in Antigo to Adolph and Barbara (Schumitsch) Pagel she married William N. Zarda Jr. on September 15, 1945 in Antigo, he preceded her in death on February 22, 1982.

She was a homemaker for most of her adult life, after her husband's death she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Zarda was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the Leland-Tollefson VFW Post 2653 Auxiliary. She served as a volunteer for the Langlade County Commission on Aging and enjoyed participating in their many activities.

Survivors include four daughters Gail (Jim) Strube of Appleton, Mary Jo (Bill) Blemke of Irma, Cathy (Dave) Dahlke of Wausau, Sue Zarda of Antigo.

Five sons Larry (Carol) of Neenah, Bob of Stevens Point, Tom (Joan) of Antigo, Dave of Antigo, Fred (Jolene) of Antigo. One daughter in law Sharon Reissmann of Mattoon.

Twenty six grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons Joey in infancy, and Dan 1998. One grandson Chris Blemke in 1998. Three sisters and five brothers.



Funeral services will be held on Thursday 11:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be at Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bradley Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Parish wake service will be held on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Online condolences at www.bradleyfh.com.
