Joseph Medo, Sr.
October 6, 1918 - June 21, 2007

Joseph Medo, Sr. age 88 of Antigo died at his home Thursday, June 21, 2007 with his family in the care of LeRoyer Hospice.
He was born in Chicago to the late Jordan and Hermina (Pavlen) Medo on October 6, 1918.
He married the former Mildred Mihalik on July 31, 1954 in Antigo at St. Mary Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2004.
He is a member of St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo.
His parents moved to Polar when he was 6 months old. He worked on the family farm prior to his marriage. Following his marriage, he and his wife owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Polar for 12 years. He served on the Polar town board as a supervisor for 8 years.
In 1966 he moved to Mount Prospect, IL where he was employed as a technician for Kendall Research in Barrington, IL.
He retired in 1981 and moved to Birnamwood. He moved to Antigo in 1999.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Otto (Velma), George, Edward (Mary) and Daniel Medo; two brothers-in-law George Arneson and Andrew Selmo.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. Rev Jeremiah Worman will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:30 to 7 pm and Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Entombment will be held at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Antigo. On line condolence may be made at www.bradleyfh.com.
Joe was a loving husband, a very wonderful caring father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family.
