Thelma Vandehey
January 18, 1917 - August 21, 2007

Thelma K. Vandehey, age 90, of Antigo died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Langlade Memorial Hospital, Antigo, WI with her family in the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was born January 18, 1917 in Appleton to the late William and Pauline (Reiter) Smith. On November 24, 1938 she married Gerald Vandehey in Appleton. Gerry, the love of her life, preceded her in death May 12, 2005.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers & Altar Society.

Mr. & Mrs. Vandehey owned and operated Thelma's of Antigo for 40 years and was the original owner of the Merrill and Clintonville stores.

Her priority in life was her family. In addition, she enjoyed writing poems and telling jokes.

Connie (Dr. Tom) Schroepfer, Marinette
Judy (Bob) Dahms, Pickerel

A Son Bill (Mary) Vandehey, Merrill

10 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren
4 Step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Gertrude Gajewski and Brother Elmer Smith.

Funeral services will be held at St. John Catholic Church on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 11am. Rev. Charles Hoffmann will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3:30 pm to 8 pm on Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:30am on Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45, Antigo. A parish wake service will be held at 7:30 pm Thursday.
