Rose (Zdrazil) Lukas

Rose (Zdrazil) LUKAS, 93 of Antigo, died Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Weston.

She was born Wednesday, August 12, 1914 in Polar, daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Rychlak) Dvorak. She married Louis D. Zdrazil Oct. 16, 1934; he preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1969. On Oct. 2, 1986 she married Orlin Lukas; he preceded her in death on July 18, 2005.

Rose and Louis Zdrazil were farmers for many years in Bryant. Retiring from farming, Rose moved to Antigo where she worked at the Langlade County Court House and Antigo Public Library, retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church and Rosary Society, and the Spring Brook Women's Club.

Surviving are 3 Daughters, Patricia (Ronald) Rose, Washington, IL, Helen (Jim) Carl, Wausau, Mary Jo Zdrazil, Wausau, 3 sons Louis (Helen) Zdrazil, Antigo, Tom (Marlys) Zdrazil, Appleton, John (Rose) Zdrazil, Hortonville, one brother Eugene (Violet) Dvorak, Mountain Home, AK. Thirteen grandchildren Pam (Dave) Legro, Schofield, Teresa Zdrazil, Antigo, Kim (Mike) Buss, Wausau, Jamie (Nicole) Merchant, Mesa, AZ, Shane (Melissa) Merchant , Schofield, Regina (Greg) Bowers, Deer Creek, IL, Greg (Kerri) Rose, Fishers, IN, Kari Ebert, Appleton, Scott Zdrazil, New York, Tiffany (Lucas) Francois, Middleton, Justine (Dave) Hildebrandt, Eau Claire, Tim (Lisa) Zdrazil, Hortonville, Dan Zdrazil, Minneapolis, Twenty great grandchildren Tyler Legro, Kristin Caldwell, Samantha and Cody MacDonald, Travis Hoerman, Mellissa Buss, Cheyenne, Jimmy, Kalib, and Noah Merchant, Tim and Ashley Jackson, Adam and Jacob Bowers, Nicholas and Meghan Rose, Natana Ebert, Kennedy, Luke and Jacob Francois, three great great grandchildren Rachealle Spencer, Cory Caldwell, and Kaelub MacDonald.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a son Harry at age 5, one grandson Gregory Zdrazil, and a sister Alice Miller.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva, with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Wencel Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Antigo. Memorials may be directed to St. Wencel Catholic Church in her name. (Italics) Rose enjoyed working in her flowers and listening to polka music. She had an abundance of love to give for her family, her faith and her Lord. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
