Dean Richard CURRAN, 62 of Elcho, WI, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

He was born November 23, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI, Son of the late Richard and Hazel (Arnold) Curran.
He married Fay Young on June 10, 1967 at the Congregational Church in Antigo.

He graduated from Antigo High School in 1963. He attended Langlade County Teachers College and graduated from University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point in 1973.

He worked as a Teacher for 38 years begining at Crandon School District with the majority of the time spent as Junior High History and Science teacher at the Elcho School District. He also coached several sports and served as Athletic Director.

He was a member of the Antigo Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

He loved the Northwoods enjoying hunting, fishing, trapping, playing slow pitch softball, and spending time with family.

Surviving are his wife, Fay, Elcho; one daughter, Renee Curran, Appleton; 3 Sons, Perry Curran, Neenah, Patrick (Mary) Curran, Shawano, Mark (Davia) Curran, St. Paul, MN; one brother Peter (Terri) Curran, Antigo, 2 Grandsons, Owen and Isaac Curran; Sister-in-law, Phyllis Parks, Antigo; and his Mother-in-law, Anna Paige, Aniwa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held on Friday 10:00 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Jack LaMar officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Friday from 9:00 - 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Elmwood Cemetery.

He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
