"He was an amazing boss/owner...-Trey"
"I go way back with Leo and Rosie. I was his newspaper boy at 13 years of age, worked as a crew person at the Military Road McDonald's in High School, and gave an opportunity to this "punk kid" to get into management. For $3 an hour, I was king of the world. Packed all my worldly belongs in the truck of Leo's green Charger, we headed down to Bettendorf, Iowa. Sput's and Pete were my mentors as they taught me about cleanliness, and hospitality towards customers. Leo never met a stranger as he addressed everyone as Sarge, or Chief. He wrote the book on friendliness. Don't ask about the nights in rock Island, learned even more than I could take in! I was blest to call him friend and the world will miss a character like Leo. To Rosie and family, my prayers are with you, but know many people grieve along with you. Stay Strong!"
"Sputs you were the best!! We had so much fun over the years. Every fishing, Quad city golf event and Vegas outing hold such strong positive and fun memories. You were so much fun to hang with... To use one of your phrases, Sputs your a real beauty!!! We all loved you, lots... Jeff, Carol & Mark Schwartz"
