Lucille Louise Rupple, 88 of Elcho, WI, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 in Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center in Antigo

She was born October 25, 1919 in Germantown, WI, Daughter of the late William and Lena ( Meyer) Neu.


She married Ervin Rupple on September 7, 1940 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Goldendale, WI. He survives.

She was employed as a Postal Clerk at the Pelican Lake Post Office and the Rhinelander Post Office.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, playing cards, family hunting trips out West, and her family.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Elcho, Elcho-Pelican Lake Lioness Club.

Surviving are husband, Ervin L. Rupple Elcho; 4 daughters, Gloria Hester Cookeville, TN, Ann Slager Palm Coast, FL, Judy (Cliff) Smith Elcho, Maryann (Rod) Halverson Summit Lake; 5 sons, Ervin A. (Sandy) Rupple Sun Prairie, George Rupple Fond du Lac, Alvin ( Sue) Rupple Summerdale, AL, Alan (Joanne) Rupple Wausau, Jerry (Terry) Rupple Rhinelander; 28 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, 2 sons-in-law Jay Slager and Robert Hester, Sr. a daughter-in-law Sharon Rupple 3 grandchildren Christine Meredith Smith, Kevin James Hester and Andrea Lynn Musson, 9 brothers and 2 sisters.

Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Elcho, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 10:30 am with Rev. Roger Strebel, officiating.

Interment will in the Holy Family Cemetery, Elcho, WI.

Visitation will be at Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45, Antigo, Tuesday, May 13 from 3:30 to 7:00 pm with a Parish Wake Service at 4:00 pm and visitation at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 am Wednesday .
