Edward Kosinski
January 27, 1928 - May 23, 2008

Edward Kosinski of Antigo died Friday, May 23, 2008 under the care of LeRoyer Hospice at Langlade Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. He was born Jan. 27, 1928 in West Allis to the late Alex and Sophie Kosinski, and married Ethel Pool on Aug. 5, 1950 in Waukeegan, IL. She preceded him in death on April 7,1999.

He Served in the United States Air Force in the Pacific Theatre. Following service he worked in Milwaukee for General Electric. He moved to Antigo in 1960 and owned and operated Polar Welding until retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Sparks-Doernenburg American Legion Post 3, Antigo. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, riding his four wheeler and bicycling.

Survivors include his daughter, Connie Anderson and her husband Larry Olkkonen, Channing, MI, daughter in law, Lois Helms, Bryant; two sisters, Clara Jankovich, Brookfield, Joan (Richard) Bunde, New Berlin; two brothers, Daniel (Dorothy) Kosinski, Antigo, Nick (Monette) Kosini, San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren Jon E. Anderson, Republic, MI, Lisa (Jeff) Swanson, Florence, Andrew Anderson, Channing, MI, Christy (Kevin) Boswell, Birnamwood, Jennifer (Chad) Zorn, Minot, ND, Becky (Jason) Rank, Antigo, Don (Kori) Helms, Antigo and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel, one son Donald Helms, one son in law Jon Anderson and an infant brother Raymond.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church - Polar, with Rev. Nancy Richmond officiating. Burial will take place in Town of Polar Cemetery where the Antigo Veterans will conduct military rites. Visitation will be Tuesday, at Bradley Funeral Home from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M..
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
