Frank Babonas, 87 of Antigo, WI, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born September 1, 1920 in Lithuania, Son of the late John & Monika (Siapas) Babonas.
He married the late Ona Kirklys on August 14, 1942 in Lithuania. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1991 in Chicago.
He came to the United States in 1949 and settled in Chicago in 1950 .
He worked in Chicago as testing inspector for 18 years for Kellogg Telephone Co. which was later changed to International Telephone and Telegraph Co. He was employed for 10 years for Moser Paper Inc. He retired in 1982, after 15 years as a die setter at Atlantic India Rubber Co. He moved to Antigo in 2004. Life long Cubs fan, enjoyed gardening, and woodworking
Surviving are 2 daughters, Terese (Bob Zoretich) Babonas Antigo, Donna Babonas Berwyn, IL; 2 sons, Anthony (Sue) Babonas Bloomington, IL, Frank Jr. (Linda) Babonas San Diego, CA; 2 granddaughters, Kristina (Kevin) Druhe, Julia (Dante) Simonetti; 2 great-granddaughter, Grace and Ella Druhe and a great grandson Luke Druhe
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ona and 2 sisters Mary and Stacey. 4 brothers, and an infant daughter Margaret
