Richard Smokey. Fuchs, 84 of Antigo, WI, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Langlade Hospital in Antigo.
He was born January 21, 1924 in Town of Rolling, Son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Reiminger) Fuchs.
He married the late Kathleen Mervyn on June 20, 1959 in Antigo. She preceded him in death Dec 17, 2004
He was a member of Paul Marmes Chapter 23, Disabled American Veterans , Antigo, WI, Born and raised in the Town of Rolling. During WWll he served in the United States Navy in the Pacific.Following military service he helped on the family dairy farm in the Town of Rolling. He was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in game management for 20 years. He operated Foxy's Potato Dumplings for many years selling them in northern Wisconsin. He was a janitor at Peace Lutheran Church for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the out doors, traveling and his grandchildren..
Surviving are daughter, Laurie (Mike) Plzak Bryant; son, Rickie Fuchs Antigo; 2 grandchildren, Tiffiany Plzak, Keith Plzak; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Fuchs Antigo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a 2 brothers Raymond Fuchs and Melvin (Jeanette) Fuchs
Memorial Services will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 11 am with Rev. Omer Kelley officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 2 from 10am to 11am at the at the Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo, WI.
