Joseph Lenzner

Joseph J. Lenzner, 88 of Antigo, WI, died Friday, August 1, 2008 at Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born November 27, 1919 in Antigo, WI, Son of the late Edmund and Mary (Jankowski) Lenzner.


He married the late Bernadine Greening on July 16, 1947 at Peace Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on July12, 1999


He was a member of Member of Peace Lutheran Church, the Mens Club of Peace, Leland Tollefson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2653 , Antigo, WI, Sparks-Doernenburg American Legion Post #3 Auxiliary, Antigo, WI, . He worked with the Civilian Conversation Corps in the Three Lakes area as a young man He served in the United State Army Signal Corps in the Pacfic during WWll. He worked with his father in Lenzner Construction and later owned and operated the business with his sons working with him. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his family and baking apple pies.

Surviving are 6 daughters, Marjorie (Greg Listle) Miller Antigo, Linda Saadaoui Madison, Ruth (David) Tucker Madison, Joan (James) Marciniak Antigo, Jane Flores Antigo, Paula (Jeff ) Kippley Billings, MT; 5 sons, Edward Lenzner Antigo, Kenneth (Rose) Lenzner New Richmond, Mark (Sharon) Lenzner Westminister, CO, Dale (Kristine Flowers) Lenzner Antigo, Brian (Melissa) Lenzner Deerbrook; 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine Lenzner and His parents, daughter Delores Lenzner, granddaughter Mary Jo Miller, two brothers Raymond and Frank Lenzner and two sisters Martha Borowczyk and Frances (Tootie) Jones

Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 10:30 am with Rev. Scott Kurse officiating.

Interment will follow in the Queen of Peace Cemetery, with military honors conducted by Antigo Veterans.

Visitation will be Monday, August 4 from 3:30 to 8 pm at Bradley Funeral Home and at church from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday
