Vernon Fleischman
June 4, 1925 - August 10, 2008

Vernon Fleischman of Antigo died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Langlade Hospital. He was 83 years old. Born June 4, 1925 in Antigo to the late Albert and Barbara (Markgraf) Fleischman he married Erma Anstutz on June 21, 1952 at Antigo, WI. She preceded in death on Dec. 12, 1981.

He was born in the town of Rolling and worked on the family dairy farm. He worked for Antigo Flour and Feed for a number of years and at Schroeder Brothers Farms until retirement in 1988. He was a veteran of WWII having served with the U.S. Army in Japan. He was a member of the Leland-Tollefson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2653 in Antigo.

Survivors include his four Daughters, Jody (Michael) Hollander, Hatley, Karen (Tom) Ahlers, Antigo, Bonnie (Dennis) Brittenham, Antigo, Barbara (Lyle) Mosher, Deerbrook, three Sons, Vernon (Heather) Fleischman, Jr. of Waterloo, WI, Rodney (Peggy) Fleischman, Antigo, Steven Fleischman, Antigo, 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, two sisters, Irene Grall and Caroline Wild, both of Antigo.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Erma, one son Wayne, and one brother Leonard.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 12:00 noon at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Omer Kelley officiating. Visitation will be Wed. at the funeral home from 10:30 - 12:00.
