Donald Hubatch, of Antigo, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center. He was 84 years old. He was born April 21, 1924 in Antigo to Anton and Rose (Wimmer) Hubatch and married Mary White, the couple later divorced.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School. He worked on the family farm in the Town of Antigo and later worked at the Frost Veneer Mill in Antigo for many years. Mr. Hubatch moved to Waukegan, Ill in 1970 and worked at Bradford Exchange in quality control. He retired in 1986 and returned to Antigo. He enjoyed the outdoors, playing cards and cribbage, spending time with his grandchildren, playing guitar and singing country music.
Survivors include three daughters, Christine (Bradley) Hitz, Antigo, Judy (Paul) Shelton, Jenkinsville, SC, Jenny (Joel) King, Neenah, three sisters, Caroline (Willis) Damm, Columbus, Celia Ostby, Northbrook, IL, Jane Van Groll, Manitowoc, six Grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Sr. Viola, Florence Ochse and Helen Gresch, two brothers Edward and Leonard Hubatch.
Services will be held on Tuesday October 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. all at the funeral home.
