Lorraine Smith
February 7, 1939 - November 27, 2008

Lorraine Smith, of Antigo, died Nov. 27, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Wausau. She was 69 years old. Born February 7, 1939 in Keshena,to the late Monroe Kaso and Jennie (Heath) Weso, She married James Smith on May 2, 1959 at Keshena. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2002.

She was a member of St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. Born on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, she graduated from St. Joseph Indian Boarding School in Keshena and from Antigo High School in 1951. After marriage, she worked as an independent seamstress. She also worked at the Children's Shoppe, Winter's Bridal Shoppe, Grandma's Great Indoor Pantry and for many years at the B & M Bootery. She enjoyed painting, sewing and reading.

Survivors include her two daughters, Susan (Jim) Rufledt Wausau, Christina (Harold) Osborn Wausau; one son, Stewart Smith Wisconsin Rapids; four grandchildren, Carson Rufledt, Toni Rufledt, Emma Osborn, Dakota Osborn; 3 sisters, Frances Walker Neopit, Betty Gray Shawano, Anita (Robert) Perez, Keshena. She also leaves behind numerous in laws and extended family as well as many friends.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, husband, three brothers Monroe, William and Donald Weso, and two sisters Dorothy and Karen Weso.

Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Michael E. Betley, officiating. Burial will take place in Bent Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with a parish wake service at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
