James Zoern
March 30, 2030 - January 10, 2009

James Jim Zoern, of Birnamwood, died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice. He was 78 years old. He was born March 30, 1930 in the Town of Aniwa to Irwin and Elizabeth (Steckbauer) Zoern. He married Margaret Herrmann on Nov. 30, 1957 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. She survives.

He was raised in Antigo and attended St. John Catholic grade school and graduated from Antigo High School. Mr Zoern worked as a logger, a truck driver and at Antigo Milk Products. He owned and operated Zoern Refrigeration Service. In 1980 Mr. Zoern and his family moved to Aniwa where they owned and operated a dairy and beef farm.

Survivors include his wife Margaret, one son, Richard Zoern, Birnamwood, three daughters, Kathi Zoern, Wausau, Lisa (special friend Lance) Zoern, Tomahawk, Gina (special friend Kevin) Zoern, Brinamwood, two sisters, Patricia Evers and Mary Sabel both of Little Chute, two sisters-in-law, Carol and Kay Zoern both of Little Chute, two brothers-in-law, Charles (Alice) Herrmann, Birnamwood, Robert (Judy) Herrmann, Elcho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers Irvin, Donald, John, Kenneth and Gerald Zoern.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be Wed. from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
