Donald Delarme
December 18, 1949 - March 4, 2009

Donald R. Delarme, of Deerbrook died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at his home in the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 59 years old He was born December 18, 1949 in Antigo the son of Fred and Delores (Schuh) Delarme, Jr.

He married Barbara (Brown) McInerney on June 26, 1999 at their home on Water Power Lake. She survives.

He was a member of Noetzelman- Boodry American Legion Post # 377, Elcho and Langlade County Voiture 1204, 40 et 8, He was raised in Elcho, graduated from Elcho High School in 1968. He served in the U. S. Army in Korea during the Viet Nam War. Following his military service, he graduated from St. Francis College in Joliet, Ill with a degree in radiology. He taught at Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest , Ill. For many years he was employed as a Nuclear Health Physicist at Nuclear Power Plants throughout the country. He was Dean of Students for the Elcho School District during the 1995-96 school year.
He then returned to work in Nuclear Plants. Because of health reasons, he retired in 2007. He coached baseball, football, basketball, and was a Little League Umpire.
He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, sports and the Green Bay Packers.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Heather (Troy Powell) Delarme, Antigo, Hillary (Mike Hickey) Delarme, Bryant, Rachel (Rick) Zinda, Coggon, Iowa, a son, Joel Delarme, Fond du Lac, two step children P.J. (Kinsey) McInerney Cedar Rapids, IA and Mindy (Webb) Hawkins Center Point, IA 10 grandchildren, McKenzy Powell, Brenden Powell, Desiree Zinda, Taylor Hawkins, Kelsey Hawkins, Lydia McInerney, Lucy McInerney, Alexandria Hickey, M.J. Hickey, Tayzha Northrup, and a great-grandchild , Kaesyn Northrup, an uncle, Ed (Arlene) Schuh, Antigo, an aunt Beverly Molitor, Kaukauna. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, March 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Audrey Alexander officiating. The Elcho American Legion will conduct Military Honors following servcies.
Following cremation, interment will be held in the spring at Lakeside Cemetery, Summit Lake.
Visitation will be Sunday March 8, 2009 from 3:30 pm to 7 pm at the Bradley Funeral Home with an American Legion Honor Guard from 6 to 7 pm. The visitation will continue Monday from 9 to 10 am at the funeral home .
