David F. Tower, of Antigo died Monday, March 9, 2009 at his home following a long illness.. He was 78 years old

He was born August 10, 1930 in Joliet, IL, Son of the late George and Sue (Corwin) Tower


He married Lillian Watts on August 31, 1956 at Lisle, IL She survives .

He was a graduate of Sycamore High School, Sycamore, IL in 1949, served in the U. S. Navy from 1950 to 1954. He was a corpsman on the hospital ship Repose. He graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL in 1960 with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He was employed in Milwaukee by Allen-Bradley and Amron Corporation. In 1969 he moved to Antigo with Amron Corporation and has resided here since then. He was employed as a rural mail carrier from 1989 to 2002. He enjoyed woodworking and cooking. .

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Heather(Robb) Bandell, Alma Center, two sons, Eric (Amee) Tower, Kewanee, Patrick (fiancée Ingrith Saavedra Austin) Tower, Normal, IL, a sister, Margie (Aldo) ) Cristofolini, Reedsboro, Vermont, a brother-in-law, Edward (Muriel) Watts, Owego, NY, 14 grandchildren, one great grandson, .

He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Visitation will be March 13, 2009 from 3:30 to 7 pm at Bradley Funeral Home. At Mr. Tower's request, no formal funeral services will be held.
