Ruth M. Buch, of Antigo died Friday, March 13, 2009 at her home in the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice.. She was 96 years old

She was born December 17, 1912 in Mattoon the daughter of the late James and Mary (Behm) White .


She married John J. Buch on October 5, 1932 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Deerbrook, He preceded her in death on Feb 14, 2002

She was raised in the Antigo Neva area by her grandmother Elizabeth Behm. After marriage she lived in Neva and later moved to Antigo. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and playing cards..

Surviving are eight daughters, Mary Ann Heschke, Antigo, Phyllis Spitler, Nashville, Tenn., Jean (Mike) Waters, White Lake, Adeline (Theodore) Draeger, Deerbrook, Joy (Philip) DeBord, Milwaukee, Diane (Richard) Lindsey, Bacliff, Tex, Betty (William) Behm, Bryant, Linda (James) Zupon, Deerbrook, two sons, James Buch, Milwaukee, Michael (Shelley) Buch, Hutchinson, Kan, a daughter in law, Patricia Buch, Eagle River, 33grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, 31 great great grandchildren and two special friends Della Cowart and Maggie Klessig.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, two sons, John Buch, Jr, Gerald Buch, one sister, Verna Chewenka, three brothers, Dennis White, John Kirk, and Leonard Mattek and one grandson, Jesse Behm, and a great grandson, two sons-in-law Al Heschke and Bud Spitler.

Memorial services will be held at the Bradley Funeral Home, Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor George Buchanan officiating.

Burial will be held in the spring in the Star Neva Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home .
