Caroline Fronek
August 19, 1930 - March 28, 2009

Caroline Fronek, of Antigo, died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her home. She was 78 years old. She was born August 19, 1930 in Birnamwood to Joseph and Barbara (Rank) Korbisch. She married Harry Fronek Jr. on Feb. 6, 1951 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Aniwa. He survives.

She attended Trunk Line Graded School in Aniwa.

A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Fronek enjoyed gardening growing flowers and polka dancing.

She tied flies for Sheldons Inc. for 36 years. As a member of St. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church her faith was important to her and she bestowed that faith to her family.

Survivors include her husband Harry Fronek Jr., five daughters, Carol (Dan) Hackbarth, Harrison, AK, Diane Fronek, Rhinelander, Mary (Greg) Wilhite, Abilene, TX, Lori (Robert) Thomas, Marietta, GA, Pamela (Jamie) McAuly, Birnamwood, four sons, James (Carol) Fronek, Antigo, Donald Fronek, Antigo, Kevin (Mikki) Fronek, Schofield, Terry (Lois) Fronek, Rothschild, 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, four sisters, Ann Martis, Milwaukee, Rosella Toney, St. Paul, MN, Alice Lex, Antigo, Katherine Resch, Antigo, two brothers, Charles Korbisch and his friend Mickey Copet, Antigo, William (Pearl) Korbisch, Charleston, SC,.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Marcella Lenzner, Barbara Korbisch, two brothers Joe and Frank.

Services will be held on Wed. April 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Michael E. Betley, officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:30 - 8:00 p.m. with a parish wake service at 6:30 p.m. all at the Bradley Funeral Home. Visitation on Wed. from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
